So i have a few ideas on how to make teams want to win matches. (THIS IS FOR PUB MATCHES ONLY)
More WP for capturing and defending objectives, along with WP for counter hacking.
So that is pretty basic but heres where the complex idea comes in.
A win loss record that contractors look at and pay accordingly.
For example, if you have a low W/L ratio. Then you won't be payed super high for winning, but not super low for losing, because that is what they expected from someone with a low W/L ratio.
If you have a high W/L ratio, around 3 or more, then losing will reward very little isk. Less than 75,000. But if you win you get a very high amount, because you deserve it for being a big part of the win, say around 400,000 or more.
This rewards good players but is also very high risk high reward. WHile not punishing the average players because there isk payouts are still different.
Basically the lower your W/L ratio is, the less overall money you will earn, whether or not you're winning or losing. But players with a low W/L can always rise it and get payed more.
Higher your W/L ratio, the better you get payed for winning. A loss will leave a severe penalty though.
Average players will be looking to squad up more, new players will try to find a corp as fast as possible, and more balanced games sense it will be squads vs squads. Instead of one squad and some randoms vs the 3-4 squads of another team your fighting.
So more balanced teams. More isk. More incentive to win. |

As is your idea basically not only makes for long term suck, but a death spiral into suck as people can less and less afford the gear needed to get out of a bad win/loss ratio. While the people who win get paid more, so more tanks/proto, so more wins.
It's not high risk, high reward when you've locked down the persons win/loss pay to nothing over a long term stat like a win/loss ratio. Because there is no high stake in the next battle you fight - you can't break out of a long term ratio in one fight. It's just low stakes, low stakes and more low stakes.
Try hooking up with eve dudes who can and will pay juicy bonuses - there's your high stakes. there will never be a 100% chance that you will always fight people who pubstomp. you will fight people that can't afford the best gear. And you can still make a profit by running free suits even if your W/L sucks. the lowest it can go is 60,000 isk, i think that's fair. |

Once matchmaking gets here this could be a way to decide battles, people with Low W/L will fight people with low and such, this could be confusing with people having different amounts but it could be balanced somehow. |

With the ideas i'm suggesting you would never join a battle late. It will always be within the first minute of the match, and only the first 30 seconds of an ambush.
The game should never put you at a disadvantage making it harder to lose. Matchmaking would be balanced at that time |
